On the website of the ministry the directorial decree that gives the green light to the hydrogen valley.
“Forward with hydrogen. On the website of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, the directorial decree has been published that gives the green light to the construction of the hydrogen valley.”
“This is a PNR investment with which we intend to support the production of green hydrogen in abandoned industrial areas, especially in southern Italy, with the dual objective of converting unused plants and encouraging the growth of renewable energy sources”. So the deputy minister of Mase, Vannia Gava, in a note. The resources put in place amount to 450 million.
“Green hydrogen will be directly used in industry, SMEs and local transport – says Gava – thus promoting local economic growth with a view to decarbonization and greater sustainability”.
The measure, to which is also attached the standard call that the Regions and Autonomous Provinces can use for the granting of funding, will allow to proceed with the award of contracts by the first quarter of 2023.
In the same period, the ministry will also allocate 2 billion for the use of hydrogen in hard-to-abbot industry, thus contributing to the progressive introduction of renewable energy carriers to replace fossils.
